On February 16, 2019, DJDC Production’s hosted a “Safe & Sound” fundraiser for SafeHouse Center, held at LIVE Nightclub in Ann Arbor.
Seven DJs and two MCs from DJDC Productions entertained the dynamic crowd at LIVE with the help from the nightclub’s amazing sound tech. Between the club’s remarkable sound system and incredible lighting- DJDC Productions was able to raise $521 in donations for SafeHouse Center- an organization that provides support for those impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.
“We do this event because we love the organization, and we love entertaining,” says Derrick Castenholz, owner of DJDC Productions. “Quan, one of our MCs, jumped down into the crowd and started teaching everyone how to line dance. And when a 25 person bachelorette party came in- our DJs switched up their style to accommodate the group,” he says.
This is the second time that DJDC Productions has hosted the “DJs Against Domestic Violence” charity event, and they look forward to their continued partnership with the organization. “This is just a tiny part of the support that they need and deserve,” Derrick says, “And we are honored to be able to help in the only way we know how- through the use of music.”
